Quigley and Alex: Spain Engagement Photos

I moved to Spain last year as a Mallorca wedding photographer, and one of my favorite things is traveling through the country to all the different terrains it offers. Mallorca, aka Majorca, is a sweet little Island off of Spain. I met up with Quigley and Alex for some photos in North Mallorca. We had so much fun shooting! They have such an energy about them, and they’re one of those couples that really gel together with their funky personalities and trendy style, which is fitting because Quigley is a fashion icon and blogger. As a result of us all being from the US + loving travel, we bonded immediately. After Mallorca, they were heading to Italy to continue their delayed honeymoon trip.

Gelato in Mallorca

We enjoyed the little tucked-away corners of the historic buildings and the European charm as we walked around North Mallorca taking photos. Alex and Quigley couldn’t resist stopping for some gelato. First, they got their own ice cream cones. Quigley quickly realized she preferred Alex’s. As a result, she ended up with both…well-played. We continued to wander around together somewhat aimlessly, just soaking up the fresh air and the European atmosphere. We had plenty of time and nowhere specific to be. These relaxing moments can be few and far between with the craziness of life, which makes it so important to take advantage of them when you get the chance.

Tips from a Mallorca Wedding Photographer:

Where to stay in Mallorca

Ultimately, I found Palma de Mallorca to be a little too touristy for my taste. I’d recommend staying in or at least visiting Central Mallorca where you’ll find more locals. This location is ideal because you can easily get to the mountains, beach, and countryside. As a Spain wedding photographer, location and backdrop is key! Even if you’re not a photographer, I’m betting you want to enjoy the scenery with as little interruption from tourists as possible. For instance, North Mallorca was easy to access from the center of the island and great for the beach and mountains. You can go for a hike with views or take a dip in the salty water.
