Smith Rock State Park Elopement
As a destination elopement photographer, Oregon is one of my favorite places in the United States. Oregon has so many gorgeous elopement location options. This Smith Rock State Park elopement stole my heart, and I’m so excited to share this magical day.
There’s nothing quite like an intimate summer wedding outdoors. Morgan and Brad fully embraced the last minute change of plans with their elopement in Smith Rock State Park. The day was full of adventure and personal touches. Great ways to let your personality shine through in your elopement it through activities you choose, your wedding attire, and overall decor. Morgan wore her black Vans sneakers under her wedding dress, which was such a fun touch!
Oregon Elopement Inspiration
Morgan and Brad’s adventurous elopement was quirky, unique, and stylish. Their day encompassed adventure, romance, and hope. As we push through this trying time in our country and world, the bright spot is that elopements are still possible. Couples’ emotions and commitment to each other is magnified and strengthened in this type of environment. Elopements are a glimmer of hope that love can still be celebrated, and we will push through together. As a couple, you may not have planned on a single table for two on your wedding day, but it can be gorgeously decorated!
The light was perfect for some epic photos that really captured the scenery and the couple as they explored Smith Rock State Park and enjoyed a summer evening celebrating their love!

As an adventurous elopement photographer, my advice for couples planning a wedding right now is: Know that you can still have an adventurous wedding day that you’ll love and want to remember forever. I recommend eloping outdoors and then later celebrating with friends and family when it becomes safe for groups to gather. Another option is to do a virtual celebration! Be flexible and have backup plans that you are also excited about. Documenting your wedding day through photos and video is a great way to share the experience with loved ones who can’t be there. Stay positive and stay safe!
