Scotland Engagement Photos
Scotland is full of hidden gems like the Pentland Hills. They’re only a 20-30 minute drive from Edinburgh, and once you arrive, there are several trails you can take. I met Joanna + Nathan in Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital, and we piled in their car and headed off for an adventure. We decided to walk around the Glencorse Reservoir. Therefore, we went to the Flotterstone part of Pentland, which was beautiful! Joanna and Nathan both live in Edinburgh, and Joanna is also a wedding photographer. We did their Scotland engagement photos, with the plan to meet back up in the Isle of Skye for an elopement shoot in August. It was so enjoyable to spend a summer night exploring Scotland’s nature with this dreamy couple.
Summer Weather in Scotland
Scotland is often cloudy, and this summer it’s been extra rainy. In addition, the temperature is typically in the 60s and 70s (Fahrenheit) throughout the summer in Scotland. However, this night was an exception, and we took full advantage of the warm, dry evening. We strolled around the Pentland Hills as the sun went down. There’s nothing like a late summer night engagement photo session in Scotland. It doesn’t get dark until 10pm here. So you can really make the most of each day.
