Scotland Elopement Photographer | Arthur’s Seat Edinburgh

Scotland Elopement

As a nature elopement photographer, I found Scotland makes the perfect location for an adventurous elopement. I hiked with Tamar and Matt up to Arthur’s Seat, and the view did not disappoint. Edinburgh is such a unique place where city meets nature. The trail isn’t strenuous and is easy to access from the city. Matt and Tamar are photographers themselves, and as locals to Edinburgh, they highly recommended Arthur’s Seat.

Holyrood Park

Matt and Tamar visit Holyrood Park frequently. It’s a short walk to Holyrood Park from the city or you can even opt for a short cab ride there. We began our short hike and bundled up for warmth since the morning was a bit chilly. We explored on our way and leisurely headed up. When you elope, there’s no rush or pressure. You make your day exactly what you want it to be. Matt and Tamar are playful and sweet, and I loved capturing those small intimate moments along with the fun and spontaneous ones. As an elopement photographer, I recommend Scotland because not only does it have stunning scenery, but there’s plenty of space to run around and be yourself.

Tamar was so laid back. She got her dress a little dirty during the trek, and the wind blew her hair a bit, but she didn’t mind even a little. She just enjoyed the adventure and nature in all its glory, and she looked gorgeous doing it. I hear so often from brides looking back on their wedding day that they wished they had let go of the small things that weren’t important and focused more on the significance of starting their life together with their best friend. It’s important not to take that for granted or get distracted from what really matters.

Elopement Tip:

An elopement is different than a typical wedding day, of course. Therefore, it’s important to have the appropriate clothing. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes for hiking. Junebug Weddings, for instance, recommends some stylish shoe options in this article that are perfect for an adventurous wedding. You’ll look fantastic, and above all, you won’t be distracted from your big day by the wrong shoe choice. As a Scotland elopement photographer, I recommend Junebug Weddings as a great resource for planning and inspiration.

Lastly, I love helping couples plan their day. If you want to collaborate and create a personalized wedding day, let’s connect and get started!
